Finally, I got to go home.

I still hadn’t seen any friends or family since the accident, and rather than bother with any of that noise, I just had the hospital call me a cab. It had been nearly a month since I had last set foot in my home. Before that, my life had been pretty uneventful. I don’t think the accident fucked my head up. But sometimes I do have to wonder; maybe it was the accident, or maybe it was the hospital. All I know is that I hadn’t been home in twenty-one days.

I left my apartment by myself and got into the worst accident of my life.

When I returned three weeks later, I wasn’t alone.
